Happy 20th Birthday Fatty’s!
20 years ago on this day I opened Fatty’s Custom Tattooz in Frederick Maryland. I was 21 years old and full of hopes and dreams for my new venture. When I first opened my doors to the public, Fatty’s was a humble, one man operation. Today I look back and I feel very proud of the institution that Fatty’s has become and I am grateful for the talented artists and staff I call my crew. I am also grateful to my friends, supporters and fans over the last 2 decades. I could not have achieved this milestone anniversary without your love and support.
I am not only touched about the past, but I am also excited about the future for Fatty’s Tattoos & Piercings. Our 2nd location on Hst NE will be opening in July, paving the way for the next 20 years in excellence in body art.
We’ll see you there!

No more body art in DC? Round 2
Greeting friends and fans,
DC lawmakers have recently proposed a 62 page document of body art regulations that threaten to effectively end safe and legal body art in our nations capital. Like the first round of regulations that were proposed, the regulations proposed in this document if passed would be some of the most extreme body art regulations in the country. The proposed regulations continue to require the use of equipment that doesn’t exist, mandate the use of inferior equipment when piercing minors, and are full of discriminatory provisions that single out the body art industry. Happy New Year From Fatty’s!
Friends and fans,
2014 has been a monumental year for Fatty’s marking 20 years of excellence in body art. This has also been the year of the birth of our 2nd location Fatty’s Hst. We successfully responded to DC’s proposed body art regulations and were able to rally the tattoo community and the public to advocate for comprehensive body art regulations. Fatty’s received tons of media exposure (more to come soon!) and we had one hell of an opening/anniversary party! Finally, 2014 has brought some new talent to our crew.
Thanks to all of you who have supported Fatty’s over the last 20 years and who continue to be a part of the Fatty’s family.
May we continue to dominate in 2015!

Friends and Fans,
Fatty’s Dupont Circle will be closed today due to a neighborhood power outage. In our 16 years at this location we have never had this happen so we are assuming that power will be restored soon and that we will reopen tomorrow as usual.
In the meantime please go to our Hst location for your body art needs.
